Whenever my Hoosier dad comes to visit, we always play euchre. This GlibHLBantz euchre card tin and magnetic scoring set was a fun surprise to use for our game nights. 

However, be aware that this scoring system isn't the same one they used in Indiana. He taught us the way he learned it, where you score to 7 tricks and mark the points with a 3 and a 4 card, uncovering pips as the scores rise. This tin marks scores to 10 instead, which apparently is an alternate preference in other parts of the Midwest. In other words, wrong.

My Hoosier dad will not stand for this. He will in fact sit for it and politely say it's probably his fault for scoring it differently. 

At any rate, we'll still enjoy this tin. It has plenty of room for a couple packs of cards in case we wear through one in our gaming fury, and it keeps track of the trump suit for the round, which I swear none of us can keep in our heads. It also keeps track of how many total games a team has won or lost, if you want to continue on, tournament-style, instead of constantly changing partners in a fit of certainty that it's them and not you keeping you from winning.

The magnets are strong and smoothly manufactured. The tin is well crafted. This is a great gift for any euchre enthusiast. Just be prepared if you're gifting it to a Hoosier! You never know what might happen. They might make you play euchre and eat snacks.
