I'm skeptical that night-driving glasses help that much, but these
LianSan Polarized Clip On Night Driving Glasses Over Prescription Glasses did seem to help
tamp down the bright blue-white of some headlights, which I think will lessen eye strain over time. The main difference between these lenses and your normal eyes is an amber tint. I didn't find a difference in the amount of sparkly beams emerging from any particular light, but the
lights were less distracting in a deep yellow vs a bright white.
I did compare these glasses to my daytime clip-on sunglasses that also have a yellow tint, and my daytime glasses are definitely more opaque. By contrast, these nighttime glasses still leave everything clear to see and I didn't have a problem avoiding other vehicles or stopping for pedestrians.
I was pleased that these clip-ons fit over my large eyeglasses with room to spare. There's a little clip at the bridge that I was able to maneuver just fine during the day but struggled with a bit while driving at night. I recommend getting them situated before driving. Conveniently, you can flip them up if you temporarily need to see the world with natural color.
The construction is sturdy, and the glasses feel like high-quality plastic with smooth, rounded edges and inspiring thickness.
I wanted to like the protective case, but it's really hard to get these to fit in it properly, so I'll have to find something else.
All in all, I'm pleased to try these out and will keep them handy in the car for prolonged night drives.
