For one thing, I'm very large and this plastic is rated to 220 lbs/100 kg. I imagine a lot of people looking for an at-home workout might be trying to lose weight and could therefore be over that weight limit. I'm not confident it's even an appropriate one because the construction just feels so weak.
Not that it matters because I can't stand on this thing without falling on my face or doing an inadvisable, impromptu version of the splits that would land me in the emergency room. There's no graceful way to stand on it with both feet and do any exercises because it just constantly slides and there are no steady handles to hold, just elastic band ones. The buckle between the pieces doesn't lock in place so it unfastens itself as soon as you jostle it.
It also comes with zero instruction of how exactly to use it. So I looked on YouTube and found a few videos of people using something similar but not exactly the same, and I got it to work for some kneeling exercises for the core and arms. I can also do some standing exercises with one leg on the board and one on terra firma, such as glide lunges. So it's not totally useless, but I think it's easier just to do body weight exercises at that point and save the very pilates-specific moves for when you have access to a genuine reformer.
I'd give it more stars for the fact that it works for a few exercises and does have a multimode digital timer and counter except that the price is exorbitant for a glorified timer plus slide rail. Find better equipment or save your money for a class.
