I picked these POKER WRANGLER Poker Cheat Sheet Pocket Guides for my teens because they’ve been curious about how poker-style games work, and these teaching cards definitely cover a lot. The set includes 5 playing-card-sized “cheat sheets” with hand-ranking charts on one side, which are super helpful and probably the part we’ll use the most. Those visuals make it easy to compare hands quickly during practice rounds.

The backs and the included foldout pamphlet give thorough Texas Hold ’Em explanations, but there’s a lot of terminology to absorb, and I got lost just reading about blinds, the flop/turn/river, action order, and so on. It’s great information, but younger or more casual players may find it a bit above their preferred attention span. My guess is that my kids will mostly use the hand-ranking references for simpler, classic card-game versions rather than diving deep into the full Hold ’Em rule set right away.

Pros:

  • Excellent, easy-to-read hand-ranking guides
  • Good print quality and sturdy laminated card stock
  • Image-heavy and well-organized cheat sheets
  • Compact size for quick reference
  • Covers the full structure and strategy of Texas Hold ’Em for those who want the details

Cons:

  • Texas Hold ’Em explanations might feel overwhelming to newer or younger players

Overall, this is a solid teaching tool with especially useful hand-ranking charts. Even if the full Texas Hold ’Em breakdown feels a bit advanced, the cards still make a great reference for learning how different hands compare in classic card games.
