I walk dogs for a living and need gloves for the winter that don't interfere with my ability to control leashes, pick up poo, and use my phone. I had a pair of all-fingerless gloves, but I have circulation problems and my little fingers kept getting stiff and frozen. These Riverruns Wool-Blend 3-Cut Fingerless Winter Gloves are the perfect compromise!
I have full use of my thumbs and two main fingers for dexterity, and the grips on the palms keep leashes from sliding around. They're plenty warm for the weather around here (Pacific Northwest), and I can just tuck them in my pockets to have ready when I need them.
I got the larger size since my hands are large for a woman. They're comfortable without being baggy, but there's extra stretch for bigger hands to fit.
About the material: The title says wool, and I find that misleading. The listing is clear that it's actually a wool blend, with more nylon than wool. I don't hate it, because it's really soft and pliable and doesn't have that squeaky feel that full synthetics can. However, these likely won't last as long or be as warm and water repellent as straight wool would be.
That said, they're still a solid choice for anyone doing outdoor activities where you still need your hands free!
