These 15 BULBORIUM Rainbow Fringed Tulip Bulbs arrived in good condition and were ready to plant right out of the box. The bulbs were firm to the touch with no signs of rot, mold, or soft spots, which is the most important thing when ordering bulbs online. Some had cosmetic surface spotting and loose outer skins, but that appears to be superficial and common with stored bulbs rather than a sign of poor health.
Packaging protected the bulbs well during shipping, and the included planting instructions were clear and helpful, including spacing, depth, and sunlight recommendations. Bulb size varied slightly, but most were a reasonable size for typical garden tulips.
Since tulips require a cold period to bloom, I'm planting these promptly rather than storing them long-term. Fortunately, we have mild winters here so it's not too late to plant them. It’s too early to evaluate bloom performance, color accuracy, or flower strength, but based on their condition at arrival, they appear viable and suitable for fall or early winter planting.
I plan to check back in the spring to update this review with bloom results once I can see how they perform in the garden. I'll happily adjust my review once I see the flowers.
